Say what?

I know a lot of people have a little "red book", a place where they write down famous quotes, thoughts, poems, anything they like to remember etc. I have started one while being here and while much of it is filled with the words of Emerson, Gandhi, Thoreau, and Shakespeare, I have also written down words that people in my every day life have uttered. I thought I would pay homage to the many people who have influenced my life, made me think, made me laugh, but mostly, made me realize I will always remember the words they have said. So here they are, in no particular order.

"The past is just practice for the future."
-Magda Fratita

"A cigarette takes two minutes away from your life,
a beer take five minutes, but school takes seven hours every day!"
-A student from one of my schools

"No matter how high the cost of living gets, people keep doing it."
-Pattiewack

"I will always carry these experiences with me in my heart
and these experiences are like welcoming friends
I can visit at any time."
-Christopher Cantlon

"I treat my meat like a piece of woman."
-Garet Jeffery

I don't know how it is in the States, but here in Romania,
its like a "check-me-out society."
-Arabella

"It is not where you are at, it is who you are with that matters."
-Marie Mines

"Bras and television distort reality."
-Anca Bodea

and lastly, said with much love and caring,

"Marie, you are emotionally unstable."
-Tanta Iacomi
